X-small Xmas...

'Grow your own Christmas tree', that's what the box said. It seemed like a brilliant idea. On special offer for only 50 pence in the January 2008 sales... Bargain! Complete with its own little terracotta pot and compost, what could go wrong?
Within a fortnight there was already a tiny spike of growth, and it wasn't even February yet. There was still 11 months of growing time before Christmas. I spent the wet summer carefully nurturing the little chap. Warding away any potential threat from snails or mischievous cats. After a years growth and Christmas looming, this was the result...

... I'd hoped for.
Unfortunately, this is the reality. Where am I going to get lights small enough to fit this?! I wouldn't say that I'm disappointed, but I'm thinking it very loudly! Still, it's going to make the presents look HUGE...

Ho Ho Ho - - I mean Ha Ha Ha...
oh well, nothing ventured, then nothing gained - hey, at least you got it to live a whole year - thats gotta count for something...and if not, well, the pot alone you couldnt get for 50p...
A clever guy like you will think of some way to light it!

At least you got it to grow which is probably better luck than I would have.

You can swap it with my Christmas tree if you like: I have the opposite problem in that it it will soon be too big for any container and now I don't know what to do with it next. I don't have the necesary half acre of garden required to plant it in. :(

now that is amusing... I like.

Hey Barkfoot :o)
My rat is still a baby and she is timid...but funny..she came out of her nest last night before I went up to read my book to see me and get a treat...she will be fine.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who "can't stand crowded places either...I get an overwhelming temptation to pull strangers heads off, I avoid confrontation at all costs unless I'm really angry (see:- pulling strangers heads off),".... I can relate so much to that!! I just want a smaller camera that will fit in my handbag or coat pocket... so that I have it with me all the time for that pic I want to take... I use my camera phone sometimes but it doesn't catch the moment like I want it to.
You are not old... and I don't think you are the type of perv that I have pictured in mind.... I had a few run-in's w/ a couple of pervey old men...it made an impression on me that I can't shake... I suspect that may be something I won't get over.... just something that is lurking in the back corner of my closet.
I just have the winter blues... I fight it every single winter... sometimes I am okay and other times I am a little messed up and kookie.... but that makes me who I am. Got my eye on an overlock machine... went and bought some more fabric to make another dress for the little squirrel today...things are good.... for today and I reckon for the rest of December. You're a star...thanks for the comment ;o)

I think those are the ones we have spotted. We stick w/ Sony, it has always done us well. I have missed so many shots on bike rides...but they will be forever in my memory.
