Tactics and cat tricks....

Each morning I raise the blinds in the kitchen, to find this cheeky crew waiting.... expecting to be entertained. "We want to play". They're not even my cats. They turn up from around the neighbourhood, apparently this is the place to be.
If the window is even the slightest bit ajar, there will be mischievous paws wheedling their way in trying to hook up anything within reach. I worry about them sometimes, because if the window is open far enough they'll turn their head sideways and push it through the gap. Finding themselves stuck, they panic and start scrabbling about, ultimately falling off the windowsill. I have to make sure the window is free to allow them not to strangle themselves but then with a combined effort they can break in!...They know what they're doing!

Should you have the audacity to be in a rush and not have time to play, then you get these sort of delay tactics. While you're moving this one away from certain death, another one has slunk into the car and lodged itself under the seat.

It's no use, I'm going to have to go and play, at least for a while....

When Barkfoots away... the cats will play! Just make sure you don't leave anything delicate or valuable around, or it will be mauled to death. Especially don't leave anything small enough to be carried because they go off with them. Their owners must be very confused with some of the stuff they come home with!
Of course sometimes boredom sets in and tempers fray....but next morning they're back on the windowsill all friends once more, waiting to see if Barkfoot can come out to play....

Those are some adorable kitties and they obviously know how to spend the day having fun. How could anyone resist those faces peering in the window?

Whoah, 4 cats on the windowsill demanding attention.. I've been there when there has been one or two... but four? They look like they mean business too, with those menacing looks, like there'll be serious trouble if they have to wait another 15 minutes (perhaps a dead mouse in your exaust pipe).

lovely...........I'm up to 20 now, it's so embarassing.

at our old house we had a fenced back yard for the dogs....I kept buying them toys and they kept disappearing.
We watch tv in the living room and would leave the french doors open for the dogs to go out and in

One day my (so I thought) golden came barelling in and launched on me while I was sprawled on the couch.
It took a minute to realize it was not my dog.

apparently the people behind us had a golden who could climb and she was the bandit, climbing the fence and stealing all the toys, but it was pretty funny to have an 80 pound dog launch on me, and not be my dog.

LOL... I love it. My dog chases off any cats who don't live here but he loves the four that do. I need to post videos of my pets sometime... I love the ones you posted.

I love your posts Barkfoot... very entaining!

I wonder what Mooky would do if he saw those kitties all staring at him through the window each morning!

They are such beautiful cats... I can see why you can't resist them.

Dogs have owners... Cats have servants, Cats rule the universe. I have an argument with our cat over ownership of my chair everytime I want to sit down.
