Yes, it was nice and sunny, but there wasn't much to do. Mum was away hunting, and the others were inside being boring.
...but what was this?! 'Someone' had hidden little bits of food everywhere while they'd been sleeping...
Fun, fun, fun!!
There were some play fights as usual.
Some of the food was really well hidden.
It was a good way of practising your foraging skills...
Eventually all the crunchy bits were found.
For the smaller chaps the excitement and running around had taken its toll.
A nap in the sunshine seemed like an excellent idea.
The warm sunshine started to make even the most boistrous sleepy...
...sleepy...
...sleepy!
A quick snooze... mom will be back soon with something fun to play with.
A yummy taste still in its mouth and trying to stay awake.
Nap time...

I'm going to use the first pic as my wall paper... what a perfect shot! how do you get so close to them??!!
I love your videos... how close were you to them? I guess they didn't see you... did they? How long did you stay there to get all the great shots?
I've spent hours each day sitting in the field next to them, in all weathers and often in the dark, slowly getting their confidence. When they are really small they are not too shy, but the parents will call them away if they're worried. The cubs are now wisely more cautious but have come to except me as no threat. They will happily come up and take food or give you a lick but now they're getting older I'm discouraging this. They seem to recognise me, and will run off from other humans which is good because not everyone likes foxes.
So I'm back and just catching up with you and your blog, amazing pics of the fox cubs....you must be the most patient person in the world to capture those moments!
I love this post! That was over a month ago... wonder what they look like now?
